Estro Bay Marine Terminal Baseline Survey
Service: Environmental Assessments
This project, conducted under contract to Ecology & Environment, Inc. for the California State Lands Commission (CSLC) and California Coastal Commission (CCC), required AMS to design and implement a marine biological survey of Estero Bay in San Luis Obispo County that would determine the habitats and biological communities affected by proposed pipeline abandonment activities, evaluate the ecological and commercial importance of these habitats and biological communities, and determine whether proposed activities would have significant impact on sensitive habitats and species. This project required a total of 66 SCUBA dives conducted over a nine-day period in water depths ranging between 35 and 75 feet. AMS prepared a detailed project field plan, two post-field survey reports, and a final Project Report under very short deadlines.
