Innovative Ecological Remediation

Bioremediation involves the use of naturally-occurring or introduced biota to consume and break down environmental pollutants to support restoration objectives. Prior to remediation or construction of a previously contaminated or impacted site, AMS can assist in determining the most affordable, sustainable, and innovative methodologies for site restoration or closure. Utilizing phytoremediation, restoration projects can be transformed for simultaneous long-term cleanup goals. Phytoremediation can be used to clean up and restore a wide range of contaminated sites, such as landfills, Brownfields, dredge spoils, surface water and groundwater plumes, and riparian areas, for a fraction of the cost of traditional remediation strategies and often without the need for hard infrastructure solutions. AMS can also evaluate historic data and provide remedial alternatives and remedial design solutions for those sites that contain or are adjacent to sensitive aquatic environments.
