Senior Oceanographer

Mr. Bowser is a senior oceanographer at AMS who designs and conducts field studies, manages complex projects, and develops business opportunities in coastal and marine monitoring programs.  He combines diverse experience in several facets of ocean technology operations in private and public organizations of varying sizes and objectives.  He has managed a 700-unit global drifting ocean sensor buoy fleet for a small private company, researched coastal development permits for the California Coastal Commission, and worked in ocean sensing and surveillance operations aboard ships and aircraft worldwide as a U.S. naval officer in addition to other professional experience.  Mr. Bowser earned an B.S. in oceanography from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Marine Affairs degree from the University of Washington where he studied implementing marine policy through the triple bottom line business model.
