Under contract to the State of California, AMS provided third-party independent environmental mitigation monitoring of multiple San Francisco Bay Area Marine Oil Terminals. AMS, as the lead of a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers, assessed each marine terminal operator’s compliance with environmental mitigation measures and lease requirements implemented as part of their respective 30-year lease renewals from the California State Lands Commission. This multi-year effort had AMS and its team members assessing wharf operations relative to spill response, fire safety, MOTEMS implementation, noise, invasive species and other environmental concerns identified during the CEQA process for lease renewal.
