Review of Historic Monitoring at Ocean Dumping Sites
AMS assisted EPA’S Ocean Dumping Management Program in evaluating past monitoring activities conducted at ocean dredged material disposal sites (ODMDS). AMS prepared a summary report and webinar on the performance of ODMDS against programmatic requirements based on findings from 20 case-studies.

Scientific Study Support for Exxon Valdez Oil Spill
AMS was selected by the US and State of Alaska Joint Trustee Council to provide the Chief Scientist and Assistant Chief Scientist for the government’s investigations of natural resource damages from the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound, Alaska.

Sacramento River Surveys
AMS provided on-call support to the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District in their efforts to characterize the biomass and composition of primary producers and clam grazers along the Sacramento River and its tributaries.

Stormwater Monitoring in Areas of Special Biological Significance
AMS supported the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency in implementing a regional monitoring program for Areas of Special Biological Significance (ASBS) along the Central California coast, predominantly associated with the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.

Program Coordination of the Clean Estuary Partnership
AMS provided overall scientific project design, program management, and program facilitation for this multi-million dollar, multi-year project that provided scientific information in support of development and implementation of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) and other water quality attainment strategies for the San Francisco Bay-Delta and its tributaries..
